Guys,
As I have already told some of you, this is a rough draft of what the site can become. I have been working non stop in my offtime the past few days to get this beta version  of the site up and running. Feedback from everyone is going to be crucial to setting up a successful and, more importantly, kick ass place. Over time we can change and add things to morph this place into what we want.
Theres not gonna be anymore bullshit like so many of you have already emailed me about, hoping to flee from. Hopefully this can be the place to be. Obviously, standard rules are going to apply, and easy enough: if you dont think it belongs in any other forum, put it in AG.
The most prominent thing that this place will be known for is that in no way shape or form, regardless of if or who we may or may not get as supporting vendors; this will not be a biased based forum! We are all each individually entitled to our own opinions, and can argue them out all we want here, (even moderators) but the site itself will not favor any tuner more than another. Moderators WILL NOT use mod status/power to any advantage in personal smack rounds with anyone.
So, obviously the site is looking a little thrown together so far, and rightfully so. I had 2 days! I already have several changes and additions in mind including the following:
A main or "front" page,
New site banner,
Different theme/color,
Changing up the smilies,
Adding a "rep" system,
Adding capability for custom user titles,
Pictures section,
Classifieds,
Hidden Forums,
A "soup kitchen" for Ron
etc...
Once again, feedback is crucial. This site isnt for me, its for all of us. Voice what you want!
NOTE: I work full time, have kids, have a rental property and tenants. I am also a pre-law student, and now, I apparently run a website. I CAN'T be here all the time! So, moderators will be appointed, and will be fair, proper, and unbiased. Mod rights will be pulled if any of that cant be followed. Easy enough, guys. Have fun.

By the way, this forum is not locked like most announcement boards, at least not yet. Post away with your whining and complaints...

This is refreshing! Hopefully we won't have to endure posts regarding who has the fastest car but won't race, etc...can I move my rep power over from the Alley? :D

Glad you brought that up. I know rep is something that is important to everyone. I am searching vigilantly for a system compatible with this board, and will hopefully have something set up soon. In the meantime, dont let it inhibit anyone from posting away. :D

The check engine light is on.
:D
Hope the site can pick up some momentum and succeed where other startups have had difficulty getting off the ground.

Ive had to learn lots of things literally over night, meanwhile juggling work, my rental property, kids, and school... The site is "ok" for now, but the forum software doesnt have alot of features that we all want. There are modifications available, but they are lengthy to install (script) and not really approved so to speak. They are all one-off creations from different people.
If we can get enough members to come over I will make the decision to upgrade to a new server, purchase a vBulletin forum software license, and then we will implement a rep system, and I will also create a spot for member pics and videos, etc. Its all dependent on how many people we get over here and how active everyone decides to be.
NOTE TO EVERYONE: An incentive to stick around and be an active member with no rep system for now will be being considered a "founding member" of ViperForums.net. Those users will recieve an additional bonus Rep-level when we make the upgrade. 8-)

VB has everything you could ever want, and more. A lot of the add-ons are free. I have a lot of stuff on my VB forum, and with everything it was around $500 with a year of hosting. The VA uses VB. Most larger auto forums also use VB.

Mark, the reason I didnt start it out as VB, is because I was unsure how well this place might take off. So far so good, but before I began I couldnt justify the cost. If things keep up, we will be under VB very shortly. ;)

Glad to have you. Good suggestion on the track times. I know another forum where they have a running thread for it. I think incorparating a "wall" or page for it somewhere in the upcoming site would be a good call, with a run down of setup, tires, dyno numbers, everything... So far so good on the drama; that is so long as you watch your step in Anything Goes, but remember, thats what its for. One of the first incorporations here was a REAL anything goes section. 8-)

MMMM good, and fast to boot. I hate waiting for the Alley's slow ass site to load pages since the new ownership took over.
