Supraforums is all hard over a "win" but Im not sure how to take it. Looks to me like Orlando got outpulled, but I wasnt there so I cant say... Orlando says he was on low boost but the Supra guys are calling it a 1200hp kill :rolleyes:

Considering how the Viper Vs Supra battles have been going on for years it's no surprise they're jumping all over it. Big turbo Supra's are all top end and nothing more so it's always the same...Viper pulls it out of the hole then when the turbo finally spools the Supra catches up. I have absolutly no doubt Orland could mash that Supra with a little more boost but single turbo's are not a Vipers strong point. I'd take a twin 78mm+ setup anyday over a big single.
Yeah Rick "won" that race but with turbo's all you're really doing is boost racing, all Orlando has to do is up the boost on his with a tune and seeee yaaa!

I saw a different video of Orlando's Viper kicking the shit out of that Supra. The video above looks bogus as though Orlando shut off for whatever reason. I'm not buying it.

For any that are that interested. Orlando posted on VA. His post seemed to make sense. Then a supra guy posted and basically said everything in his last post was untrue so who the hell knows!

All I want to know is WHY the turbo is facing backwards on the Viper! You need two 90 degree bends just to get out of the compressor housing. Oh well it's still a Viper and about the inside colors...thats the stock leather that comes on those models.

I drove Orlando's Viper. I will tell you frist hand....it's fast as shit. It does need an AEM on it though, that VECIII just doesn't do much for driveablity, but for WOT it's fine.

On low boost I was spinning the tires below 100mph in 3rd gear. I didn't realize how hard that car pulled until I was at about 5000rpm in 5th gear....however my mind was thinking 4th for whatever reason. The car pulls hard...no doubt about that.

I can't wait to get boosted.

Are you kidding? Having the air rushing INTO the compressor housing and having to suck it back from behind makes a bit of a difference. The air rushing past the car wants to keep going the turbo has to work "harder" per-say to pull it back in again. Almost every turbo built drag car especially the stang body cars always have the turbo in the grille with a mesh screen at most to protect the wheel. Thats why I like front mount designs, more space for bigger turbos, away from the road and away from the footwell where your feet are.
Yeah it will make power regardless, but it's better to have it facing forward for easy of air flow.
By the way this isn't bashing his car just to be clear, just an online debate is all.
