View Full Version : Pics of Header turnouts.

I finally wrapped up the last piece of my header install. I got my V band flanges welded to my cat delete pipes and the Random Tech HF cats so I can swap them out with ease. The O2 sensor in the pic is the Wideband Bung that I had added when they were made. These are the M&M Performance headers in case anyone is interested. I chose to go the V band route for ease of removal in the future. Slip fit would work, but is a nightmare for removal. All I have to do is remove 2 clamps and I can either remove the catback or the headers.

I used T304 stainless pipe and Stainless V band flanges and clamps. The headers are ceramic coated with the V band flange welded to the turnout prior to coating. So there should never be a problem with rust anywhere in the whole system.

What thickness?
Going from memory I think it was 16g that I ordered. The thicker of the pipe that is generally used. Overkill is great.:D

Thanks. With the work i do we have a bunch of .0625 tubing laying around that i was going to make a exhaust out of but wasnt sure what the normal thickness is. Sounds like .0625 will be more then enough.
