Wanted to share with you some pics I've collected of different Viper TT Systems. Some are tuner set ups, and some are DIY.
Feel free to comment.

I don't think I would care for the versions with the air filters underneath the car down next to the road. :nope:

Not too sure about any frame notching either. I know its common, and even Lingenfelter did it (had to pretty much on C5 Vettes) but I just dont like it... :nope:

...And the heat. I can't think of a worse place. Especially when idling or moving in traffic. Stale, hot air pulled up into the TBs???

Not to mention what could be picked (or splashed) up that close to the road. You can tell the UGR set up with the intakes piped from the front.

Guess that's why they are the best...

well - if you ain't got anything nice to say.... so I'll say little....

I like the one that had real air filters best

Any TT system I run will mount them way higher than sump level

What did I say when I saw Lee's front mount twin 91mm set up with full interior?

*Update*

Is it me or did the Viper just click off something like a 7.21@176 (7.21@176)???

Lee Saunders car setup looks the ducks nuts. That was pretty much the kind of setup I tried to get Heffner into years ago but he was not interested. It was what I wanted for Chads car also, but everyone was going for low mounts because they're easier....

the sound that car makes is different to any other Viper - that is because of the 5 into 1 merge collectors and proper headers

When I get mine done it will be something similar but with my own ideas and if my tuner of choice doesn't like it I'll get it done by someone better

the front mounts are more complicated to build but offer less pressure drop potential, but the biggest factors are looks, cleaner air, ability to run true headers, the resulting sound, and oiling.

Heffner outdid himself on Saunders setup but he had a lot of help which is why he cannot take full credit for Lee's accomplishments

BTW that TT setup should run 6's and would (1st track day after testing) if Mike Moran had built it, no reflection on Lee who has got the best sounding beast in the Viper world and one of the quickest.

I'd like to see UGR do a similar setup

For sure, I think the "golden" mounting spot would be right in the middle (the compressor side would be behind where the hot side currently is). And have the intake acing forward so the piping coming from the side intercoolers merges into one going into the TB.
UGR had that silver SRT with the 88mm front mounts but I'm not sure what was ever done with it. What I like about front mount is there's almost not size limit for turbo size (within reason) depending on your application.
No doubt Lee's car could run in the 6's, those 91's pull like a triple engine freight train on the top end. :D
