I went to Va motor sports park today with about 100 others for a track rental.I had my viper and srt8 superbee.I ran my viper with the stock sp2 tires. The track setup is always great here because of being a NHRA track.I ran a bunch of 11.8s and a bunch of 11.7s,best of the day was my last run with a little cool down time.11.63 @ 125.58 mph with a 2.009 60 ft.The mph is there but the 60ft is bad because of regular street tires. With these times i suspect my car is around the 600 rwhp mark and maybe with a good dr or slick the 10s are possible. My superbee is a complete built 392 stroker motor with a 2800 stall and im running nitto 555 drs.The car is putting down 489 rwhp and 500 ft pds of torque.I ran a best with that 11.58 @ 118.70 with a 1.679 60 ft time. This is almost funny a 600 hp car being beat by a 4200 pound 490 hp car.Tires is where its at.No hooking no time.Heres a few pics of my Bee

Thats a pretty bad ass Superbee. Who did the engine work? And yeah it sounds like you know the deal with the Viper: definately tires.

What RPM are you launching on?

BES race engines which is Tony Bischoft did all the motor work.Rpms with the bee 2400 with the viper maybe 1800 to 2000 and letting go kinda easy.Does anyone have a suggestion for a 19inch dr/street tire thats available for my viper.I really think i can get in the 10s with some tread

Does your Viper have gears? I dont know if you ever mentioned.

Breaking 10's with that MPH is achievable with around a 1.60 60ft or better. There are SRT guys in the 600hp range running 11.20s and better on DR's and slicks. As far as specific DR's I will let someone else chime in on that.

Yes Dana 3.55s
I do feel like my viper is no more than 600 or a little more rwhp. Will a single turbo put out more than the blower if i went that route.Just curious

Ultimately, depending on how much power you want to make, yes a turbo setup is gonna be your best bet.

In a comparison considering your car vs. a turbo car making the same identical power, there are lots of variables that go into that, especially in a 6spd car going down the 1/4 mile.

Turbo vs. Supercharger really all depends on how much power you ultimately want to make. Honestly, adding some forged internals to your car and turning your Paxton up some and you can be making 1000hp easy and running low 10s all day long on your existing setup (suspension, gears, etc)

Thanks for the info and the site for those forge line rims.I think im going to try and beef up internals. Keep the blower on and go for 900 + rwhp

Not all impressive considering we are racing at 7K ft DA. It runs very consistant 14.6's @ 98 up here.

So it would be mid 13's at sea-level. Not bad for a heavy 4 door.

Hell yeah. Go for it. I still recommend using Underground Racing for the following reasons: 1) They offer Paxton kits already and they know how to tune them. And 2:) They are extremely close to you, especially considering the size of the Viper community.

Thats awesome, man. If you go through with it all it would be great to have the pictures and dyno graphs of the results over here.

Be sure and tell Kevin that VF.net sent you :yep:
