OK so my first mod will be 3.55 gears. I am in Atlanta Georgia and was wondering if anyone could direct me to a great shop for this mod.
Thanks Shawn

P:S I went for a ride today in the mountain's and it was great!!!!

I hope you have better luck with a gear change than I did. I have an 08 and could not get one of the stub shafts pulled out. Three shops tried including a well known viper tech. My only option now is an after market diff.

08' 09 pumpkin is different. You need a certain tool to get the half shafts out.
I have a 3.55 Gear, B&M Shifter, Belangers on my ACR and love it...good luck.

The stubs are retained by a snap ring. To remove the stubs, you simply remove the outer snap ring for the axle, and a tool slides into the snap ring groove and threads onto a slide hammer.

You can also lock a big pair of vice grips on the stub (super hardened steel, no worries of damaging it) and get under the vice grips with a pry bar. Using a motion like trying to free a CV joint, "pop" it a few times and it should come free.

He has done many of these and he said once in a while on 08-09's sometimes you just can't get one out. Two shops here in IL. tried it and then I shipped diff. to Woodhouse and they couldn't get it.

There was a few shafts shipped that the snap ring groove was square cut instead of v-cut. This will not allow removal ever. You'll never see it on paper but I recall tellings of an "oops". If you can't get the stub out, just replace the diff.
