So I thought they were discontinuing the Viper?

I was pretty sure they were going to discontinue the Viper but I know that theres a a 2009 Viper. So whats up? Is '09 the last year or did I just hear a rumor?

Also do they or will they have anything to compete with the ZR1 or do we not know that yet?

I also heard they got the new '09 ACR hardcore package to trap 129, if so wouldn't that be pretty good competition for the zr1?

It is all up in the air. They may sell the brand to someone else to build. If the merger happens, there may not even be many 09's. It was originally slated to be cut from production in 2011. Nobody really has an answer because there are so many variables.

The ACR competes and beats the ZR1 on a road coarse. The ACR currently owns everyone on a road coarse. On a drag strip, the ZR1 will probably win with equal drivers and conditions. Keep in mind the ZR1 has more power. Will Chrysler offer a higher HP motor? I highly doubt it.
