I don't know what happened, but I swear it did not look that bad in normal lighting conditions. That light really picks things up.
I thing a lot of that happened when they cleaned it up for the photoshoot for KW. No worries though. It's all good now.

An Israeli doctor said to a medical conference, "Medicine in my country is so advanced, we can take a kidney out of one person, put it into another and have him looking for work in six weeks!"
The German doctor stood up and said, "Well medicine in my county is so advanced, we can take a lung out of one person and put it into another and
have him looking for work on 4 weeks"
The Russian doctor got up and said "My country is even more advanced, we
can remove half a heart from one person, put it into another and have them
both looking for work in just 2 weeks!"
Not to be outdone, the American doctor stood up and addressed the

can take an Asshole out of CHICAGO , PUT HIM IN THE WHITE HOUSE , AND HAVE HALF THE COUNTRY LOOKING FOR WORK IN 24 HOURS.

In honor of the 44th President of the United States , Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream has issued a new flavor... " Barocky Road ".
Barocky Road is a blend of half Vanilla, half Chocolate, and surrounded by Nuts and Flakes.
The Vanilla portion of the mix is not openly advertised and is usually denied as an ingredient.
The Nuts and Flakes are all very bitter and hard to swallow.
The cost is $100.00 per scoop.
When purchased it will be presented to you in a large beautiful cone, but then the Ice Cream is taken away as you reach for it, and is given to the person in line behind you.
Thus you are left with an empty Wallet, no change, holding an empty cone, with no hope of getting any Ice Cream.
But - somehow - you feel stimulated!

The car looks great. I am curious as to why your website states that you charge more for exotic cars. Also, I am curious where you draw the line at exotic.
That web site was halted when we couldn't get it where we wanted it. I have a new one coming very shortly, completely redesigned from the ground up.
Reason for higher prices on exotics(actually exotics and classics), is because most, if not all owners of these cars, expect a higher quality of work. I believe you would agree that you want your Viper looking better than the polish job that I put on a 2000 Mustang, right? You guys are a different breed :D You have higher standards, and that in turn requires more work. More work equalls more money. Most daily driver vehicles that require buffing and polishing, are not taken to the level that I would take something like this ACR. It simply isn't feasable to do that level of work on a daily driver.
It's extremely hard(maybe just for me) to appeal to everyone though a single website. I tried explaining things in great detail on my first site. But that in turn created confusion, and got people thinking that they were going to have to get a small loan, or refinace their house for me to take care of their Miata :D And that just isn't the case.
Like I said in the begining, that web site was abandoned. It has minimal information on it, just to attract a bit of attention, and maybe give answers to people that have simple questions. The new site will go into more depth, and will focus a bit more on the different levels of work that I can provide, and at what cost.
I'm sure I just did a horrible job at explaining that, but feel free to call me if you have any questions. I have a really hard time at putting my thoughts into text. It's much easier for me to speak with someone, than typing something out.

No no no, not saying that at all. Like I said, I'm terrible at typing things out. Whats in my head, never makes it to the keyboard correctly.
Each customer is different. I try and address everyones needs individually(obviously). If someone wanted me to spend a high number of hours on their Mustang, Miata, Caviler, Viper, Ferarri, etc... I would do it(providing the vehicle would accept the hours put into it). Most people with a daily driver(like a Mustang), do not want me to invest 20 hours into their paint.
Sorry, didn't mean to single out a Mustang. Just trying to expain myself a bit more.

Really depends on how deep they are. If they're light pits, then yes, a wet sand and buff will take care of them or reduce their size so they aren't to obvious. However, if they are deep pits, I wouldn't attempt to try and remove them completely. Clear coat is also your UV protection. Remove too much, and you'll be hating life in about 5 years. But there is a safe amount that can be removed from these cars.
Give me a call if you want more information on this. I can walk you through the steps if you need me to.

Well, I was curious. There is a lot of fleecing that goes on when people smell money. I can't tell you how many times I have valet charge me 15 bucks more than the posted cost to park my car because it is kinda flashy. I get the same feeling when there is an additional charge to clean a car based on who made the car.
The website says that there is a light detail and a full detail as well as a recondition. Perhaps if there is a sliding scale of quality of work, there should be a light or a full recondition. Who makes the decision as to the quality of the recondition and is that disclosed before anything is done? For example, let's say I have two cars reconditioned, one is exotic and one is more run of the mill. Will both cars be reconditioned to the same level? Since I am an exotic owner and have high expectations, would both cars be reconditioned to the same high standards and if so, am I paying more for both cars or just the exotic?
If the higher price for exotics really is because the work is done to a higher standard, how is the lesser quality recondition still performed until, "the paint looks perfect" as your site suggests? Is there better than perfect?

You are not charged more just because you drive a certain vehicle, or a certain class of vehicle. You would be charged more if you requested me to have the paint in absolute perfect condition. Like I said earlier, this takes time. If you just wanted your car polished with a lighter polishing compound, then you would be charged the same amount that I just charged today for a wash/polish/wax on an Infinity G35.
Takes Mark's ACR for example. He said earlier(not sure if it was here or another forum), that I finished the vehicle, then washed and inspected it. It wasn't up to the standards that we agreed on, so I spent another 4 hours making a pass over the entire car again with a lighter polishing compound, to get it to the agreed standards. I did not charge him for that extra 4 hours I spent on that last step. Nor did I charge him extra for coming back the 2nd day and spending another 1.5 hours on it to put another coat of wax on it. If I was "fleecing" you guys, as you put it, then I would have tried to charge him for the exact amount of time that I was working on his car. And Mark has more than just an ACR that shows he can afford more. Just because you drive a Viper doesn't mean you have endless pockets, and I know this. I don't "cherry pick" you guys because I think you have a roll of hundreds in your pocket with my name on it. Thats foolish to even think, although I do understand your vallet story. I do this because it's something I love to do, and I charge a very fair amount for the quality of work I provide. I have been regarded by my peers as one of the top in the country at what I do. But I do not make a small fortune doing it. Not even close!
My apologies to you for singling out "exotics". I guess a better choice of words would be "higher quality work will be charged more", or something along those lines?
I can see you're getting little offended by my choice of words, and I guess thats my fault for not examining every avenue possible for the words I wrote on the site. Maybe if you have some free time, you would help me proof read the verbiage I am writing for the new site? I'd be happy to pay you for this service. Seriously!
Heading off to bed now. Have to be up early in the AM. But I would like to know if you're up to proof reading. You have an eye for it. PM me, and we can talk more there if you're interested.

I can say, based on actual experience, that the deal Nick gave me was a great deal. He has done 4 of my cars, and has my STi that he will be doing a major job with later this week. To say I am happy with the service and prices would be an understatement.

He lives out here. Thank god cause if he would try to ride a plane of mine, my boy would be missing some paper for school.

Nick
I'm not trying to start anything, perhaps I came off that way. I was just curious why exotic cars usually end up paying more for everything, from parking to washing, and since you had singled them out in your pricing, I figured I would just ask you.

No harm done here. Like I said, I can take a bit of heat. I just hope I was able to clear the concern that you had. The new site will go into more depth about what I provide and costs involved. I appreciate your input, and hope I can find a way to word everything correctly so there are no issues like this in the future.

Detailing is an art and takes time. Time = Money. Nick stood by his word, Rocman is happy so let's move one. It's hard to give someone an estimate or price without seeing the car first. Black colored cars are the hardest to detail because every single flaw can be seen. Nothing to see here..keep the line moving please.
