Say someone such as myself wanted an entry level Viper fairly cheap(not salvaged). What would this person expect to pay, and where would this person go to look(through the net)? Aside from Ebay, looking for a solid price, not an auction.

Gen I for $25k-$30k, Gen II anywhere from $36k-$50k (depending) and a Gen III from $40k/$42k and up. And, Gen IV's are highly variable right now.

Hmmm, I've always loved the style of the Gen 1 and it being the most affordable would probably be the most doable. We're getting ready to do a 20x65 add on to our house. Maybe after I get that financially resoved next year, I'll be able to swing a new toy into the garage. Hate to sell my 1st gen Lightning though. But the boss may not allow 2 toys.

Next time you wax Rocmans, don't bring it back.

I wonder if Remster's Viper would qualify for a salvage title?

When are we going to line up that old ass vette of yours and my Viper. It's time for my snake to feed. Might as well come out of the box eating a BB vette.

Nick,

Honestly, save a little extra money and get a Gen II GTS. You will not be sorry. It isn't that much more. Also with the way your going to be cleaning up Vipers....it will not take long to have the extra money.

Ehh, I have a money hungry woman at home
Right now, we're trying to save for an add on for the house. 1200sqft is pretty small. We absolutely love our neighborhood, and do not want to leave it. And we also love our house. So that has to be first priority right now. Plus I'm in the process of building a 500hp 1st gen Lightning(all NA). I've been throwing cash at this thing left and right for the past few months. Getting ready to drop the new motor into it here pretty soon(just waiting on some motor mounts). I don't think she'd been too happy about me coming home with a Viper right now. I'm thinking about starting my Viper search early next year. I've always wanted one, and I'm not getting any younger. Call it my early mid life crisis car :D

.

LOL!! If it were such an "old ass", you wouldn't be so frightened of it, not that I blame you. It has a much bigger solid roller camshaft than that truck motor of yours, much larger valves (you see, truck motors are designed for torque, not hp), lower gearing and comes in under 3000 pounds. The last that I heard, your Viper was in a box alright; a casket. :haha::haha::haha:If it comes "out of the box", I will have no alternative but to name your Viper "Frankenstein" or perhaps "Frankenstina", once the bitch gets mounted.

Nick, the ONLY place I would look for a used Viper would be in the classified add sections on this site, the Alley and the VCA site. Owners on these sites tend to be true enthusiasts and take excellent care of their Vipers. I also believe most of them are more trustworthy than owners of vehicles through ebay, other auctions or most dealers. As far as dealers go, I would not hesitate to buy from Woodhouse. Recently, I met a guy at my Dodge dealer while I had mine in for state inspection that was shopping and I sugested he check Woodhouse. He bought a used '05 SRT and is very happy with it and the deal he got. Good luck! If I can help inspect any local Vipers you may be considering let me know. Needless to say, I'd recommend a GEN II GTS. '96 - '99(forged internals) if you want to do motor mods.:D

Hey Nick,
PM me here or at the Alley. I know where you can get a really nice green/tan 95 RT/10 for around $28K

What's the matter, you couldn't find flourescent pink with yellow? I wouldn't pay 10k for that color combo.
