View Full Version : VF.net Jukebox up and running

Spent all night tweaking this to add to the site and went ahead and added a few songs to the playlist to get us going to test it out. It still needs a little work, but will work for now. I have set it to where it will not automatically play in order to keep things not only work safe as far as noise, but also to keep it from bothering anyone who might not want to use it.

There are still a few things to tweak, including getting a drop down play menu to work among other things. We will add tunes as we go, but for now, at least until everything is smoothed out, let's avoid a request line thread.

Couple hours later and looks like everything is running pretty well. I've got most everything sorted out and the playlist is now viewable & working.

As far as requests, I suppose we could start a thread of sorts if someone wants to take that on, but keep in mind that there is no reason for this playlist to have some incredible amount of songs in it at any given time like your iPod :lol:. I haven't even really considered a cap-off number yet, but we will get to that sooner or later. Whatever makes it in will be sorted in alphabetical order as we go.

Anywho, there it is...

I keep yearning to see evidence of bushido exhibiting the occasional Rain Man skill. Sadly, so far he has failed to come up with how many chopsticks it takes to pick up a chunk of carp so I'm not hopeful.

Why can't I listen to the jukebox and view threads? It kills the juke when I click a thread.

I think I can make it clickable to where it becomes a standalone window. Other than that, it's like anywhere else: gotta right click open in new window. We'll get it figured out.

Awesome addition. I enjoy VA and VF equally. I do have to say that you guys are working hard and have come a long ways in a very short period of time. The powers to be at the Alley better take note if they dont want to get passed up.

I have set the Jukebox to shuffle the tracks. You can still scroll through the list and select a specific song to play, but otherwise, if you just click play, click the next track button, or just let the player keep playing, it will play songs in no particular order.

Done, and added some DANZIG too. I am working on making the jukebox a popup so everyone can browse and listen easier.
