Anyone her use them?I am a small business not sure if I need to use them or not.Mostly all my accounts "my suppliers"I have credit lines with and I pay cod for most things due to the discount.Lady tells me the cost is 349.00 then faxes me paperwork at 599.00.She states this is the only way any bank will give you credit line free and clear without personally signing for the loan.I deal with my town bank and dont forsee me going for lines of credit anytime soon.

I use them in my business as a source of determining ones credit worthiness. They have good points and bad but I find the several hundred bucks a year to be a valuble tool in getting info on new and current accounts.

D&B is a business credit reporting agency. You do not need them at all to establish any new credit. For a creditor, it is a good resource for determining credit worthiness. For someone that has credit, it is only useful if you are interested in knowing what your creditors are reporting. Other than that, you don't need them.

Roc and Josh have both stated both important facts on D & B.

It can be great for determining credit references.
And again a cheap tool.

Gaining credit with vendors these days is something that
has to be earned as most do not care about a d & b report.

They want hard earned long term payment history.

It is very old school ideology of the so called "who's who" in
business... Kinda like the BBB used to be a resourceful tool
in determining which businesses were good and whom were
not.
