Since there seems to be a fetish around here lately for seeing homely cars go really fast and spending a lot of money to drive something ugly, I thought I would show you guys this one. This would make one really sweet ride for a prom date, no? Have you guys ever heard of NOPI? You should check it out.

My Jap car can beat your Jap car even though it is a POS ,
cost a third of a turd , makes a gazillion horsepower and
has a bat wing that also doubles as a surf board and takes
up residence in the local wrecking yard....

I believe these things have to cost less than the current year or less than $2009 total. You can get credits for any parts you sell off of the car. It is amazing what these guys can do with no money.

Sadly, I experienced something similar.

Last year I was at E-Town (NJ) in my '06 and lined up against a primered Civic wagon. Turns out he was a Honda mechanic.

I killed him off the line and up through about ~3/4 track,,, until he flew past me. The gutted, 2,400# little POS went 10.8's at 138mph!! I only managed 11.8/123 in my reasonably stock '06 Coupe.

But at the end of the day he still has to drive home in his
POS gutted, primered beater Civic....
You Should rest easy knowing you get to drive home in a beautiful Viper :thumbs:

The amazing thing about it is, it only has 8 valves. I think that van made upwards of 400whp and 500+ftlbs through a built 3 speed torqueflite automatic. This one is funnier. It makes 500hp and 500ftlbs with a turbo 3.0l.

Thats a great time for a close to stock 06, and without tires thats about as good as it gets grip wise. Just from a point of reference, Hennessey went 10.7's with their base line 650R package an no No2, so they would have had the civic covered. :yep:
