Supra runs in the 10.5 tire class: Not a bad 1/8 mile time for a 3150lb Supra with a small block V8 and small tire. Link and text below is from Tom Nelsons site.

0 to 147 mph in 5 seconds in a American Powered Supra O the humanity!

Posted Monday 06-22-2009 Adam Gier came to us with a request to purchase one of our Twin Turbo Warrior Ls Twin Turbo series engines we built him one and shipped it off to him.Whats so unique about this is Adam sandwiched 427 cubic inches of american twin turbo iron into his Toyota Supra.Adams complaint was that the 2jz motor he had in there was just to unreliable So after researching for turbo motors he decided that we were the guys to go to do it for him.Take a look at the results of this car as he is dialing in the chassis these runs were made at only 16 psi so when you figure he has 22psi more to go 38 psi max it gives you a good idea of just how powerful one of our turbo packages are.

Engine made 2500hp on dyno at 39psi

Pretty cool, and awesome numbers, obviously, but I never would have done a project like this. It's just kinda wrong to use that powerplant with that platform.

Its definitely better suited in an FD!

maybe they are going for the independent rear end record now held by a Viper? With another 22psi boost up their sleeve, they definitely have the power to bust well under if they can get the car to hook.... which will be the real problem!

2500hp is enough to run a 6 at well over 200mph - EASILY! I know as we did it 2nd run off the trailer with more weight than that has.... but we didn't have 10.5 tires and an IRS, that is their big challenge

Buddy, the only thing people noticed when you posted is that you are a utter buffoon. I feel less and less intelligent everytime i read your posts. Your inept ability to stupefy others with your eniterly unintelligible banter is incredible. Yet, this fact flys over your head with the stealth of a SR-71. You continue to spew out nonsensical facts (indubitably "copied homework") as if you know exactly what you are talking about, then make a statements much like you did above.

You have diahrea of the mouth, a case of epic proportions. This is all i can do to help.

Do some more "home work" before you post.

Lol how long did it take you to write that? 15 minutes? Did you have a dictionary next to you hahahaha.

My turn, Ahem.
. I will start off first by saying this, I am not your buddy and second If you will try and "Flame" me and sound quite intelligent in the English language you must not forget to INDENT. You also have improper fragments, sentences that do not contain whole ideas, misspelled words, incorrect use compounded words, incorrect use of metaphors, and no facts/evidence to support your thesis. Speaking of thesis, you do not even contain one. Which is why I believe that you yourself must never post ever again. But by no means your post was brilliant -to the top of your boots.

. I Now by all means, do your "Homework", and pass your Literature Class this time.

There that took me 4 minutes, oh and if you reply your gay and you love playing with man balls, and taking it up the ass and you have Man love written all over your car which is in pink.

Lol will you reply?!

Grammer nazi and homosexual remarks in the same post? Its disappointing you must resort to those mesures so swiftly. I don't care to argue against either. They are default responses and quite weak in my eyes.

Good night.

FD's never had V8s either.. I'm guessing. They had rotary turbine jet engines and fetzer valves.

lol.

video is finally up and available in full screen.

0-147mph in 5.21. 50 passes with nothing but an oil change.

Is there a service manual that recommends oil changes every 6.25 miles with one of these motors? That'd be awesome.

Come on guy, lets get real here. You were called out on the most obvious part of the entire topic which is the reverse proof you didn't actually READ the article in the first place.
So the only other route you could take was the "Hey look over there, he misspelled this and that word and don't notice that I missed the entire point of the thread".

Edit: Just saw the video, cool but that sounds a little silly coming from a Supra just a silly as a V8 Viper. :D

....if that was a joke.

Now if your TT tuner told you that you could run a car capable of 5 sec 1/8 mile passes then go 5000 miles between oil changes with 50 races in between... your tuner is a fucking wanker. period

and yes you can quote me .

I've been on a team that got a 6 second pro mod down to a whole season on no parts replacement - but I can assure you oil was changed after every race day whether it needed it or not. It's a no brainer.
