Traction control = :fag: And if you turn off the system overall you void your warranty in that POS. Just check out this thread @ the North Amercian GTR Owners Club site. HERE (http://www.nagtroc.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=25361)
Its quick, no doubt, but far from "supercar" status that everyone keeps pinning on it. There arent many cars I would honestly consider as "supercars."

come on Randy - don't be hatin. You know it'd be better than a new Evo :D
The up-coming V-spec will be interesting if they go ahead with it.
There's a few all black GTR's around here - in that color they look better in person than in pictures, but not supercar either. Mind you there's a bunch of 599's and 612's around here and they blend in with the traffic contrary to their price tag (unlike the Astons and Lambo's which always stand out).

:haha: hey - when anyone else comes up with a factory OEM power plant making 427 cubes that weighs just 340lb (before accessories) and runs dry sump and titanium rods - I'll be impressed with them too.
:D
The LS7 is the best V8 out there for the money up to around 700hp.

Launch control is way gheyer but is not to be confused with the ever-present Traction control... which is also :fag:
My take is that instead of making a gearbox that works under heavier driving conditions, Nissan decided instead to remove any "performance" driving features from the car...
http://blogs.edmunds.com/straightline/20...ch-control.html (http://blogs.edmunds.com/straightline/2008/11/2008-la-auto-show-2010-nissan-gt-r-loses-launch-control.html)
With the Internet bursting with ugly tales of GT-R launch control abuse, broken transaxles and void warranties, a nasty rumor began; that the 2010 Nissan GT-R won't have launch control.
Could it be? Really?
So we asked and asked and asked. We asked three Nissan employees: one from the public relations department, one from engineering and one high-ranking executive. The first two confirmed its removal was being considered seriously, but the decision had not yet been made. Then the high-ranking executive confirmed the bad news.
"It's gone," he said when asked if launch control would return in 2010. "We just don't want to deal with the warranty nightmare anymore. It'll make the 2009 GT-R really special. It'll be the only R35 with launch control." -- Kelly Toepke, News Editor

 what a joke
so they can't automate a launch control to leave hard and be easier on the drivetrain than a clutch dump - so they're going to do away with it?
I guess they'll lock the traction control too so it cannot be turned off, or if you unlock it, your warranty will expire, and a small asian midget will pop up under the drivers seat with an anal probe and recite some very bad Mongolian poetry.
nice one Nissan
