Some poor sap on the VCA had his house broken into while he was out of town, and nothing stolen but his Viper. The car sticks out like a sore thumb, as its been modded to resemble a GTSR. Not that I am very hopeful on this, but you just never know. Criminals are typically stupid; someone may be on the highway with this or have it on a trailer.
Be on the lookout.

Nightmare comes true. Ugh. Poor bastard. Thing is, insurance will not cover all the additional items. They may pay some, but not all. Not to mention the time that he spent doing the project. That is one advantage to having Hagerty or equivalent with a SET VALUE insurance. It goes, you get what your set value is.
Yup. The only way regular insurance will cover it is if he had the foresight to add the additional stuff to the insurance. In reality, why should they pay him for $150K of aftermarket parts if he only pays the insurance on the $40K car itself.
As I write this, I look up and see a commercial for Little Mommy that has a doll that takes a shit and you flush it and the Poopoo goes away.

I have Hagerty on my old truck and rod with the extra coverage. It's well worth the dough trust me.

Seems kind of stupid to steal a high profile vehicle.
If so at least steal an orange Lambo.

Fucking thieves, once caught they should be lined up outside the Courthouse and Shot! I see this is a fellow Texan who was ripped off,the Woodlands is a nice place to live, although crime has been on the rise up there, hopefully he gets it back undamaged.

I think I read they found it in a ditch wrecked and caught the perp. Still sucks big time. I would be sick if somebody stole my Viper to beat the balls off of it. Some people just SUCK.

How shall I put this???
Allegedly, I once worked with a guy who used to take care of problems like this for wealthy people because the police wouldn't. :yep:
He allegedly profiled a person for a few weeks, right down to their trash.. then at the right time he "picked them up" and took them for a ride about 30 minutes out into the countryside. They traveled cattleclass - that is to say in the trunk :yep:
On opening the trunk, the person had a radically new view on life and was quite open to new ideas. The success rate was apparently quite high, and the few failures were met with a less fortunate second visit ...I imagine. This dude was no mobster, or creepy psycho, he was highly trained and professional and part of a pro security team.
Course by the time I worked with this guy, he was in a change of industry. Seems to me the next 5 years will see a growth in this kind of security industry as the police become more unable to defend the public.

Ack!!! Nothing burns me up more then crooks! Looks like he forgot to read "thou shall NOT steal (or break into peoples houses). What really gets me is how difficult it is for GTSR 91 to make any leway on the matter.
Well guys here is the latest update and it really sucks. I hope these pics I just took uploaded from the salvage yard. I balled my eyes out and it really hurts. The car is totally crushed and to make things worse, the guy who stole it has an address just 5 miles from me and I just drove by the house. He has NOT been arrested yet as when he wrecked the car about 2 hours after he stole it, a report had not been made yet and the harris co. sherrif just let him off with a failure to keep in a lane and noted he was drinking but NO breath or drug check was taken. The case no. takes 5-7 days to register in the system I was told and THEN with my accident report I gave them, they will send all this to the D As office to make the arrest. What a lousey system we have here in Texas. It was noted he was taken to the hospital and was not wearing the harness and that there was no air bag as "the car had a racing type wheel". I have faxed the accident report and spoken on the phone with a detective but no one can do anything right now. Can you believe a cop would let a guy go that is NOT the registered owner in this situation?. I was also told he would only be arrested for possesing stolen property and not theft as they might not be able to prove he was the one who actually stole the car. This has ruined my whole life and thoughts about people. Hope the pics show up.

Those pictures make me sick. The guy that stole it does not deserve to ride in the trunk, that is too nice for him. Drag that sucka behind the car out to the country...
