View Full Version : New Ford TT/Twin Fuel Engine

Anyone who has been around the diesel pickup market since 2003 knows the issues Ford has gone thru with Navistar and Power Strokes.
Those issues killed the V6 Power Stroke slated for the 1/2 ton market.
Looks like they're pushing off in a different direction now.

When they start bursting in to flames like the latest Powerturd, I will continue to shake my head at the douches that decided it was a strong move to let Cummins be sold.

Even more red than perhaps a little diesel talk, might be those that throw SRT wheels on an old Viper as an update.

The difference between us when it comes to vehicles is I accessorize based on what I like, you in turn accessorize based on what you perceive others to like. That's why you never keep a vehicle long enough to wear two different pair of skivvies in it. Neither approach is wrong or even preferred.
Your assertion of SRT wheels on a GTS as being "neck" is without merit, therefore so is the assertion that I am a hypocrite. If the same wheels were made by HRE you would approve based on pedigree alone.

I keep cars until I am bored with them and can't do anything more to them. You keep cars forever hoping that the next generation of cars brings you more cool factory shit to throw on your old car. That is the difference.

The secret to actually not becoming bored with cars is to find something you actually like and stick with it. New isn't always better when you are considering design. What anyone else thinks about your car isn't relevant. There are damn few cars worth owning these days that are new and I predict that will only get worse over time. If you keep buying new cars you are going to be driving some ugly shit in less than five years by default.
The GTS is a car with timeless iconic design with homely stock wheels. I have had a GTS for eight years and still stare at that damn thing when I walk through my garage. There has never been another car who's design has done that for me. If you want to make a case for neck behavior on my part, go with the too many guns take, it has far more merit.

Don't sweat it No Man. There might be hope for some decent wheels if the Gen V ever rolls around.

I keep cars until I am bored with them and can't do anything more to them. .
Some people also dont need to "keep up with the jones's"
Most People dont need to buy a new car every 2 years so they can walk around with their chest puffed out thinking "yea i rock, everyone knows it by looking at my new car". I would much rather have a car and enjoy it than have to update with a new one constantly trying impress everyone.
Just my .02 I think the updated look on the gts with modern viper wheels looks kick ass. 90% of the aftermarket rims look like shit, when you have somthing that looks better and is cheaper. why wouldnt you do it
On a related note. The bobcat Eng sounds Killer.

I kinda like it, but then again I like the basic 5 or 6 spoke wheels in general. I'd personally go for some 20" SP600's but for 1/5th the price those SRT stockers don't suck.

CCW's are about as cheap as they come. The last time I looked, the SRT 5 spokes are actually probably more money than a set of CCW's.

Really? No way I would pay ~$3k for a set of SRT wheels.
I figured they were in the ~$1k range w/o tires.
CCW's are inexpensive, but just as nice as anything else out there from my own personal experience.

These nostalgic old farts really open up their money clips for set of stockers.

That's just obscene money to pay for some stock wheels.
