For those guys who used to own Gen II's and bought a Gen III, would you go back to a Gen II if you have the chance? Why are some Gen II's priced very similar to Gen III's especially 03-05.

The Gen III verts are not all that attractive compared to the Gen II GTS. It's all about the styling.

A GTS with stripes looks a whole lot better than a Gen 3 convertible.

Your opinion is not worth shit, old broken down coot. Your statements carry no weight, so I had to reiterate. Besides, you failed to specify that the GTS required stripes to be more attractive than the vert Gen 3's. Maybe those old eyes have difficulty focusing on lines such as stripes but to the younger folk, they make a big visual difference on a Viper.
Now stop hawking me like a child molestor at a schoolyard.

Sorry to ask this question again and again, I am really really nowhere as to picking which one. Some 03 and 04 and even 05's are really down in prices. More performance stock compared to Gen II's and some even have the 7 year warranty. But I do love the GTS look. Now I'm back to where I started.

What do you plan to do with the car? Track it? Drag it? cruise it? I know of a really great gen II acr that would be an awesome car for around 45K. I will never sell my gen II

Drive it on nice days. Cruising is more my purpose but want the WOT in the traffic light once in a while when the cat's away.:D

GTS is one of the most beautiful timeless car designs. I put it up their with a countach. That being said a gen 3 vert stock is not very attractive but is one of those cars that looks incredible with a set of iforged and coilovers. Just look at Tiago or Matt's gen 3. Their is no denying these cars can hold their own and will grab just as much attention at a gas station, restauraunt etc. The gen 3 coupes are the same way. Rippers' 06 black silver coupe is a nice car but the wheel spring combo really turned it into an exotic head turning viper. I would wait a little while and since you are between the gen 3 vert and gts maybe do something crazy and get a gen 3 coupe. Kind of a meet in the middle ype of thing. I wish Ripper could post some updated pics of his coupe hint hint :)

LOL! Countach a timeless design? That thing looks embarrassingly hideous at this point. I wouldn't be caught driving that automotive goon if I were getting blown down to the balls to do so. Maybe you should have used a 1967 vette as an example instead of that Lambo wedge. Lambos age about as well as a chain smoking irishman in the Arizona desert.

The gts and countach both have historical lines that any car enthusiast will love. Next you will tell me the f40 is a junker.
