Why in the shit would anyone pay up to $50k extra to have a ZR1?

Does anyone have any accurate production numbers and statistics to compare car to car?

I'm pretty sure there are more ZR1s than ACRs already. The Vette crowd is a special one.

So, only 179 ACRs for 2008. Wonder how many for 09? Does anyone think they will open the factory back up for the rest of the 2009 model run?

I was told yes. Turns out Saleen's internal issues was one of the main reasons for the shut down.

I sure hope I come across a ZR1 on the street this summer, with a Vette owner that would not only acknowledge a Viper but want to run it............:evilgrin:

Personally I would get a Z06 (cyber grey of course) before I got the ZR1.

The 3 ZR1's we have left are due in in the next few months are ALL sold to old farts!! :shrug:

I agree, I would rather have the 427 than a smaller blown engine

Not to mention, the Z06 is a better platform from which to build up from. It just makes more sense to buy and mod a Z06. That's the route I'd take. Shit, I may even go back to the C5 Z06 to do a crazy build before I considered a ZR1.

My opinion is that the ZR1 is pretty much for the guy who has everything and wants to pick up a limited production car. :shrug:

.............or for the guy who wants to pick up men. That hole in the hood would make a hell of a display case for flowers or Streisand cd's.

I am always keeping my eye open for a nice 01 Speedway White Z06. I have always wanted to get one and make a nice 600hp street cruiser slamed with black wheels and the small 1" lip on the back
