I was asked to post up about my build in progress for my 05' Black ACR SRT (Neon). I'm not sure if this is the right section, but if not, please move it to the right one please!
A little background on this project. I want this car to be a roadrace monster, not the typical drag race setup like the rest of the SRT-4 crowd (even though my business caters to it). The twin turbo kit is radical, and unorthodox. I'm not the first to do it on this platform, but being the perfectionist that I am, I took a better approach (I think) to making the kit better than the competition's. I am expecting somewhere between 400-450whp on pump gas, and 550-600 when fully dialed in with either E-85 or race gas. Time will tell on that though.
Not pictured yet are the .020" oversized Weisco pistons, bored and honed block, dispersant coated oil pan, coated bearings, and a bunch of other little stuff.
I will post up more pics when I can, but for now this is what we've got:
The turbo kit: (I may end up modifying this further for better wastegate control)

There is a lot going on in the build that has been done since the prelim pics, like a ported oil pump housing, dry film lube coated oil pump gears, coated bearings, coated pistons, block work (+.020"), and some smaller stuff.
Core block:

OE pistons (3 of 4 with cracked ringlands):

When I dropped the oilpan and took a look around, I saw some issues with the balance shaft assembly.... :( :

I will be reinforcing the mains by milling the girdle down (as seen here) then adding tool steel blocks to the mains:

This is not the head that will be going on my build (this was one of my customers) but the port shape will be similar. On mine I will end up scaloping the guides into the port shape for better flow:

And one of the things I have been waiting on for a LOOOOONG time, custom rods. These have been engineered to withstand 300+whp PER CYLINDER. Not that my goals are that lofty, but we engineered this to be resold to our SRT-4 customers as a nearly "unbreakable" rod. I should have the first set of these in hand hopefully by Monday.

I will have to take more pics of the pistons, block, and head once it gets a little closer to full assembly time.
Let me know what you all think! (constructive critisism welcome)
