I'm getting close to getting this car. Just waiting for my money to become available on Monday. Do you have any trustworthy shipping company that I can use -from Florida to Illinois.

I've spoken with about 4 shipping companies and so far, the cheapest one is about $1020. So I decided to just fly to Florida and drive the car back to Illinois, it'll cost me less money by doing so.:D Road trip............

The only company I have used to ship cars for me is intercity translines.. They are the ones who shipped that car from CA to CO for me when I bought it.

Not true for the past year or so. I didn't for the first few years when I was doing it mostly for friends and family, but since I grew the business all the drivers carry insurance and have all applicable authority and licenses.

Got a quick question, what about the license plate on the car? If the owner removes it, can I drive it cross country with a proof of bill of sale and an current insurance card from one of my vehicles? Or should I bring an old plate from my old vette and put it on the Viper? What should I do with tags, I don't want to register the car in Florida to get temp tags since I am driving it back to Illinois.

You can get a "temp transport" tag from Florida. Doesn't cost near what a regular set of temp tags costs. Or you can chance it with the vette tag and the bill of sale, but you are technically breaking the law. Although that's more than likely what I would do (been there done that) Just don't do anything to get pulled over. Which is probably hard to do in a new viper on a long road trip. Really easy to speed.:yep:

I would use Gary over the others in a split second. And have. See Gary below strapping my car for its trip to UGR last year.
