Well, I'm always looking to expand my resume and try to command some more $$$$. At least until I run my own gig.

Any of you guys have Degrees in Finace? I already have a BSME, debating if I want to get an MSME, PE, or double up with another BS in a more business related field.

So, spill it. Financials are sketchy now, but consultants are always needed.

I'm over doing it because it's fun for now, time to make some cake.

The wifey has a BS in finance, minor in accounting. She works as an assistant VP business banker for a major bank. Not my cup of tea, but she enjoys her work. She wants to get her MBA once the kiddos are a little older. There are lots of people under my wife who work on commission that arent really making any commision right now because of the current market, (home loans and such). Id personally stick with engineering. There are almost limitless pursuits in that field, and usually higher pay.

Engineering is a good field in that it's killer job security, a credentialed engineer is never out of work. But the $$$ isn't that great unless you are part of an epic startup.

I was shooting more for CFO/CEO level stuff. MBA is something to consider, hell I could go directly into that now. I want to add another set of letters to my title, just not sure which ones lol.

A couple of the wealthiest people I know are engineers, but they didn't make their $$ "engineering". One was a founding partner of direct-tv, so yeah.

Bro, fuck the finance degrees! You need to hook up with Smackie and pick his brain about how he achieved his big dollar "VENTURED BACKED" lifestyle success that he tries to fool everyone into believing he lives.

WAR VENTURE BACK THIS

I have a BA in Finance from Michigan State. I haven't really used the degree in a direct way, however the general understanding of cash flow, accounting and macro-econonomics has come in handy. Marketing is the course work I wish I had more classes in. Having a great business idea is worthless if you can't get the masses to purchase it.

Do you have a JD or Masters of any sort on top of the BA that you do use? Just curious...

No. Just 15 years of experience running my own business.
