From day one, we havent been "out" to harm the Alley, nor steal anything or anyone for that matter. Even when it came to SpeedAlley and certain members here being banned from there upon launching of this site, we still gave the invite to them... No takers... I wonder why?

WE DONT PLAY THE SAME CHILDISH GAMES NOR DO WE EMPLOY THOSE POLITICS HERE.... Thats been clear from day one, and is the soul purpose of why VF.net exists.

Apparently now if there is a link to www.viperforums.net (http://www.viperforums.net) posted on the Alley, it is coded to rewrite it and redirect it. Again, some really childish behavior.

Link to the Alley all you want here. Post at the Alley all you want. Post at BasketWeaving.com all you want. We dont care! This is the fucking internet. VF.net was not started to create a cult, but rather to offer a place where people could go without any shady shit or corporate shit going on behind the scenes. So far it has worked and people have taken notice and others have become angry. There is not even the slightest suggestion of loyalty requirements in being a member here unlike some other places...

Enough is enough. Everyone knows our stance. Everyone knows our members and moderators alike post both places. Good... WE ENCOURAGE THAT!

As for the Alley's banned folks that have been reinstated here; Yeah... We wanted them back in the community. The politics that got them banned and their stories being hidden dont fly here. So yeah: All the better for them that they have a place to be now. Those folks, by the way, represent less than 1% of the members here. This site is not supposed to be some "Banned Refuge" as the Alley likes to refer to it as...

Finally:

MP,

What the fuck does this mean?
I've never blocked anyone from posting any link to a website that I recall; I have no reason (financial or otherwise) to block someone except when I see some lazy fucker just taking shit they didn't write and using it for their own I think why not tweak em.

If you think you've got the winning formula for a website, best of luck to you. It's not rocket science, anyone can throw up vBulletin and a skin and have a go at it (well, those pesky hackers can be a PITA can't they?) - the "fun" always gets ruined when you end up spending more time mediating disputes between members.Am I supposed to take this as a threat? Whats with the "hacking" reference? What has anyone stolen from anyone? If you are referring to the code you wrote for the live-feed system, in which you made a publicly available download for any vBulletin board, then we will remove it.

I even emailed you through ViperAlley.com's Contact Us form and thanked you for coding it, and let you know that we were using it over here but not out of spite. If thats what you are referring to as "stolen," then it is now removed from our site. Thousands of other boards use it now, but apparently we arent supposed to... We understand ViperAlley :yep: Loud and clear!

Good play taking the high road. I never posted my banner over there because I didn't want to stir up any shit. The "evil" side of me wanted to do so, but the level-headed side of me prevailed.

However, I might be tempted to try a little morse code! ;) :shady::evilgrin::shady:

As long as we do what we do here, they'll migrate over on their own.

No, I won't go to another site and register to reply to messages to me.... if someone wants to talk to me or ask me a question, they know where to find me.

I don't care if another site uses software I wrote and freely share; my only comments were about checking a new site out and seeing footer text that was pretty much word for word lifted off my site. First impression wasn't good.

As for having a bug up my butt about "competing" forums; honestly, I could care less if people want to post links. What I do care about is "trolling" and I don't allow it on any of my websites.

Post where you want to post, hang out where you want to hang; more than likely everyone will benefit once the group of nutswingers pick their nuts.

In response to the aforementioned;

1. I am banned and cannot contact you via the Alley, nor do I wish to have that access.

2. No desire to any longer use live-feed in order to avoid future scuffles.

3. The disclaimer has been changed so as not to "reflect" any resemblence to ViperAlley's errantly written example.

Folks, It isn't worth the stress, so why bother. It's a web board, and an admin sets the rules. As a member you agree or disagree.

Besides, I'm a chef. I need to keep the soup on.

No sense in this going any further. MP has contacted me in a respectful manner and he agrees with our stance that there is no vested interest for either side holding any sort of competitive grudge.

If you are going to "refer" people to this site (from anywhere) please continue to do so in a tasteful fashion.

I for one am grateful for a place I can come and not be harassed because I don't swing from the right peoples nuts or accused of being full of BS for telling what I know 1st hand to be truth.

Thank you Randy and mods for making this site available.

I think (for many) over time that much of the reasons people still visit the VA will find no need because news will come here just as quickly, this site will become the place many prefer to hang out, have fun, get informed, keep up to date with Viper related accomplishments and projects etc.

Assholes who just want to crap all over others simply won't fit in here and will themselves stand out like dogs balls as the fuck sticks they actually are.

I look forward to personally making some contributions to this site and to the community at large via improvements in Viper performance and quality. Like many others here, I think it is a great thing to keep seeking ways to raise the bar - in life as in business. Most of all, I look forward to a couple of dreams coming true... not far off now
