I listed two of my metal detectors on ebay both very nice detectors..I used them as back ups and for friends to use them when they went. Most of the regular friends have bought their own and they just sit collecting dust.

I put them on ebay not sure they are going to do real well. Anyone interested before I sell them?

Sorry we dont have classifieds yet. We are entertaining 2 options on how to employ them on the site.

For now, posting a thread with a sale item is perfectly fine.

Jamie, do you have any pics or price/pricerange? You never know who might be interested especially if you can get some pics up.

What interesting things have you found? Is it all junk or is it diamond rings like on the commercials??

I am interested just never really looked at detectors. I think finding old war artifacts would be really cool!

NOW would be a great time to go to Galveston with a top quality Metal Detector. RevHeat had one, sold it this past summer. I think he found some pop tops in his yard with it! :)

wow - pop tops - that'd be worth a woody

seriously, an old buddy of mine used something similar to find oil... it worked too. Sadly, it turned out there was water down there too so the drilling was a loss...

at least I got my $10k back

I live beside gettysburg. So its always neat to find bullets ect.

Waiting to find belt buckle or cannon ball..No luck yet.:cursin:

have found a bunch of silver coins and wheat pennies:cheers:

And carnival time its always nice to hit the area for all the change and cheap rings that get dropped.(this is what pays for the machine)

We did find a few nice class rings and a silver bit before.Nothing big money but heck beats doing nothing.

Have also dug up enough pull tabs to fill a 55 gal bag:cursin:They throw off same reading as a nickle

I wanted to get one that works underwater.

Up by us is a wreck of the USS New Hampshire.

Wreck (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_New_Hampshire_(1864))

If you go into the rocks of Graves Island, you can find nails and pins from the Paul Revere Foundry

There still is part of the keel there, but the rest of her is long gone.

My hoop can go in the any water up 18 inches .Most detectors cannot go near salt or sand.Atleast years ago when I bought them it was that way.
Yes that is where "white "has made a name for himself and most of his greatest finds is seemed.was in the water. They have a place in ocean city that shows his hunts and findings.

That shit is kick ass. Ive always wanted one, but lord knows I dont have any extra time with everything else I do lately.

I was telling Floorin04 that there are miles and miles of Hurricane debris filled beaches here that would be a blast to walk with one.

The funny thing is that people will view you as being poor when you do it public places.

I cannot tell you how many times people felt sorry for someone combing the beaches looking for stuff to make money. When a younger child would ask their parent what you are doing that would be their response..
Since then I got headphones so I dont have to talk to people:clap:

People have no clue what those those things cost.

I'd need one that can to 60 feet deep at least. If they make one that is rated deeper, I can use it to got get the Empire Knight and pull 6 inch artillery shells again.

Empire Knight (http://www.wreckhunter.net/DataPages/empireknight-dat.htm)

Some of her cargo of shells are on the bottom mixed in with the rocks.

Good luck on the sale - finding something really old would be very exciting.

I grew up in an old gold mining town and spent a lot of free time as a boy in old mine tunnels with a torch. Found one shaft 1000 feet deep, scary as shit but very cool.

Do those things pick up gold?
