Default All motor build Dyno numbers

Well I'm definitely leaving some the table!

With NO timing it put down 589rwhp/614rwtq.

Now before this run we had 5 degrees taken out and when we put it back to stock timing it picked up almost 30rwhp and 30rwtq! So I am going to try and put the vec3 on just to advance the timing and keep the split sec for fuel and see how it goes.

Congrats!!! However, I would like to take this opportunity to say "I told you so" as far as leaving power on the table by not having the ability to adjust timing

Mine put down ~550rwhp before they messed with the timing. I gained an additional ~42 rwhp with timing changes. At that point, the stock fuel system started to become the constraint. Whether you will gain more or less will depend on your particular set-up, but I am sure you will cruise well past the 600rwhp mark if you can get the VEC3 to work without frying.

Nice numbers! What gears are you running? Are you planning on making a few passes once it is fully tuned?

Thats impressive!

Glad to see I'm not the only one running a bunch of piggybacks. Currently I have MSD boost retard, splitsec, and soon to be VEC.

But seriously, the splitsec will go eventually. I kinda like the MSD so I can pull timing on the fly.

I did it myself. I got bored and needed to justify spending money on a new wire feed mig. lol.

My next investment is a lift. I swear if I have to do one more clutch on a vehicle this month I'm getting it.

I took some when I first fabbed everything up for proof of concept, so they are ugly. This weekend I'll take some updated pics if I get the clutch swapped out in time. Speaking of which, is the clutch hydraulic line removal tool necessary, or will a fuel line quick disconnect tool(or something similar) be sufficient? If anyone knows.

Thanks.

Haha...yep, you were right! I have plenty of fuel system in it now. I can only wish for a big of a gain that you were able to get with the additional timing.

Still the stock 3.07s. I will definitely be going to the track after the tune is right. Mike sent me some tires to try out!

You should market it as a budget TT system, sell it for about $9,000. I don't think people would pay anymore for a Dirtbag Twin Turbo, but you never know.

It's only a single rear turbo setup that set me back about $3,000. I needed something to give me a little extra push for the high altitudes, and something I could rip down and return to stock quickly (under 2.5hrs) to pass the lame visual EPA inspections, so 99% of it is bolt-on.

I just did the clutch this weekend, so once I recover I'll get my lazy butt out there to take photos.

Steve and Banton,

I find it interesting that Banton picked up so much power from the timing. When I switched from the Split Sec to the AEM I picked up 3rwhp. Just do it Steve, I am interested to see what happens. While I'm sure you will pick up some, from my own exsperiance, you will not pick up alot.

Who knows....maybe my tuner sucked.

Also that taller tire on the 19" wheel looks great. EVERY 19" rear tire/wheel combo should be done that way. No way am I throwing a 20" on the rear now.

I understand, but a lot is going to have to do with the set-up. My set-up was more aggressive than yours and Steveo's is more aggressive than mine. If I remember correctly, my set-up resulted in ~30 rwhp higher than yours, and I would expect Steveo's to have similar gains (~620'rwhp) over mine, with an optimized tune. Of course my assumptions are just that, assumptions.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the SplitSec FTC doesn't allow you to advance timing(at least mine doesn't). Which would make the timing portion a little useless in an N/A setup.

By advancing a few degrees above stock in the right areas will wake the motor up big time
